Polyoxometalates-Functionalized Electrodes for (Photo)Electrocatalytic Applications: Recent Advances and Prospects

چکیده

This review is intended to provide an up-to-date and comprehensive description of recent advances since the mid-2010s in elaboration involvement polyoxometalates (POMs)-functionalized (photo)electrodes (photo)electrocatalytic reactions. Focus has been essentially placed not only on reactions high interest, such as hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), oxygen (OER), CO2 reduction (CDRR) but also other more “confidential” (e.g., oxyanionic species ascorbic acid oxidation). It now well-known that POMs represent one class fascinating compounds largely explored inorganic chemistry, highlighted by large number complexes with structural, redox, functional diversities which make them particularly attractive efficient electrocatalysts for a wide range significant multiredox The transposition homogeneous electrocatalysis (photo)electrode-supported using its derivatives undoubtedly constitutes really promising avenue toward development modern electrochemical devices, could be interest applications chemical sensing, biosensing, electroanalysis, solar-driven fuel cells.
